Common Questions
Everything you
need to know
Starting physical therapy is a decision, and we want to make it an easy one. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.
Still Have Questions?New York State allows direct access to physical therapy — you can schedule an evaluation without a physician referral. However, some insurance plans may require one. We'll verify your coverage before your first visit.
Initial evaluations are typically 60 minutes, allowing us to thoroughly assess your condition and create your treatment plan. Follow-up sessions generally run 45 minutes, though duration may vary based on your individual needs.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows us to assess and treat the affected area. For lower body issues, shorts and a t-shirt work well. For upper body concerns, a tank top or sleeveless shirt is ideal.
We accept most major insurance plans and will verify your benefits before your first visit. We also offer self-pay options for those without coverage. Please call us to confirm your specific plan.
The number of sessions depends on your diagnosis, goals, and rate of progress. After your evaluation, we'll provide a realistic estimate and adjust as you improve. Our focus is always on efficient, effective recovery.
